Hey guys I just got my Wacom Intuos 6 x 9 pad and i read all the directions and everything. It says pressure sensitive but I'm not getting any different stroke results? Is there some setting i have to click on for the pressure sensitivity in photoshop? I tried to change the pressure setting from off to stylus but it is greyed out in photoshop on all tools. I also tried changing the wacom drivers 2 times. The wacom control panel diagnostic tool shows that the wacom is working fine and its pressure settings are fine and it is in stylus mode. Just that in Photoshop I am not getting the pressure thing to work out. Any suggestions I am using windows XP
thanks |

what version of PS r u using? if its 6 or 6.01, when you have selected your paintbrush, airbrush, etc, on the top menu bar there is a square to the right side. if you select that, you get a drop down of several options.
size, opacity and fade are the usuals. try experimenting with each and then combined. |

First, find out whether the pressure sensitivity is working, outside of PS. Open up the control panel - Wacom tablet settings, and see if it's working in the little scratch pad. Process of elimination, that kinda thing.
I'm guessing you've already downloaded and installed the latest drivers. But if you haven't, do that.
BTW, what operating system are you on? And are you using a USB interface? |

(Ok, I'm stupid. You already did all that. I need to learn how to read.)
I get a recurring problem where my pressure settings stop working when I'm out of virtual memory. But I doubt that's it.
Ugh. I am no help at all. Sorry. |

I also have problems with pressure levels... I see the checkboxes in PS (I'm using 5.5) to select the pressure mode and so on but I can't click them |

i also have this problem sometimes. i'm using win xp and noticed that it happens when switching to another users profile (without logging out). i usually fix it by logging everyone out, then logging back in.... real annoying.. |

Ummm... I don't have a tablet but isn't there a .dll file you need to download from www.adobe.com that fixes the problem? Whenever someone is having problem someone usually posts the link.
