I think I may have burned my monitor, but I'm not sure. It just started happening last night, I'm getting these light grey lines extending in both directions (horizontally) from all text and dark blacks/lines, etc. on my screen. Does this mean I burned my screen? Or did I some how mess with my monitor settings and I just don't know it?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Malachi |

hmm... weird problem.
Try cranking up your refresh rate.
right click on desktop>properties>etc... and make the refresh rate higher until it goes away.. hopefully. |

Hey all, thanks for the help.
I'll check out my monitor's cable, I'll also check out my refresh rate.
My monitor is a 'Hewlett Packard Pavilion -M70'. The cable I'm using with it is the one that came with it, so I'm not sure if it's of a really good quality or if it's of average quality or lower. =/
I'll "play" around with the cable and see what happens.
Thanks again.

Did you change the monitor cable? Are you using a cheap one? Did you change the position of the cable? Usually the striping and 'doublevision' happens with cheap cables and/or if they run by powersupplies, etc. Check that if you haven't.
Cheers
