i saved up and decided to forgo the graphire for the intuos 6x8 special edition (no difference in hardware except that it's teh sexay in translucent black... )

[edit] that was during summer... [/edit]

just curious, but is there any difference in tablet hardware between the intuos and intuos2? i can't for the life of me remember if my intuos has 512 or 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity... although i gotta say, i'm digging those pics of the new pen...

Intuos is 1024, Graphire is 512. No idea about the differences betwixt the I and the II.

okay, thanks, i just wanted to reassure myself about my precious black translucent intuos... since i don't need the cordless/wheel-less mouse that comes with the intuos2, the only thing i'm envying about it is the spiffy new grip pen it comes with...

no, there are no major different between Intuos 1 and 2. Pressures and resolutions level are the same.
