I've never really had any training in how to use colour properly so I tend to stick to just using a few. I'd like to progress a bit further, so I'm asking how people go about it here.
I sometimes try using an image that has the right 'colour mood' as a palette and that sort of works. But what do you do? Do you create your own custom palette or just pick them as you go along.
I'd really love to know how Craig Mullins goes about painting his images. They're so loose but because the colour and lighting is perfect they look so believable.
I suppose like everything else it's mainly paractise - but there might be some good tips to get started with. |
