cool, my next question would be, you know a good efnet server? i cant seem to find one that lets me connect and if i do, i kicked cause stupid ident stuff

indent is something most good irc clients will handle for you now (I know at least VIRC lets you set it up so that when a server requests the information it gets a responce).

I have a slightly different problem; Australia doesn't have it's own efnet server, but most overseas servers won't allow users from outside their own country. I've been using irc.prison.net but it doesn't let you idea for more than a couple of minutes before booting you so I don't tend to hang around much. Will have to go through the efnet server list again and find a better one I think.

You could attempt irc.lagged.or, irc.magic.ca, irc.concentric.net, or possibly irc.solidstreaming.net.

yeah, im using mirc and bersirc, both of which emulate an ident server. i dont have trouble connecting to most networks, but i always have problems with efnet for some reason. guess they just dont like me
