In your opinion, what is the best way to draw our veins?

I understand that there would normally be two colors, a light, and darker color to make the vein, but....it still isnt looking right for some reason.

How do u ppl make them?

i didn't really draw any myself, but you can do fine with 1 color if picture is not too detailed (dark pale blue) using soft small Airbrush on low opacity

Well, it depends on the thickness of the skin.
If you mean veins like the ones under the skin of your wrists, then they're simply put just dark-blueish lines... if they are Arnold Schwarzenegger bicep veins after a pump-up session, then you'd want to bump it up with lighting and such, adding again a slight tint of blueish hue... but that depends on the tan and thickness of the skin.
