How do you guys deal with hiring models for doing illustrations? I was kinda afraid of getting into editorial illustrations because of this kind of professional interaction issue, but how do you guys handle this? |

It's quite easy. Just call the art department of any college in your area that has figure drawing classes, and then ask them which agencies they use.
The models usually charge around $20 an hour. Some might not do private sessions, while some will for a higher fee. Photography sessions will be more expensive, but if you explain the photography is for reference for paintings, they might not charge you photography rate.
Hope that helps. |
