Everytime i startup photoshop, it goes to the Initialization screen, does all the stuff, but when it gets to sorting fonts, it goes A-Z, then starts again and keeps doing it forever!
it worked a few days ago, and i didn't install any new fonts or anything!
i even tried reinstalling Photoshop but it didn't work
i'm runnink win2k
any ideas? |

errr....ummm... It is a legal copy, right?
Try downloading the lastest software update.

it doesn't matter if its a legal copy or not
i had the 6.01 upgrade, it worked for a while then stopped
when i reinstalled, i had 6.0 and it still doesn't work

Try deleting all your postscript fonts. That might help. |

its gotta be a bad font (somehow). along the same lines, i had a problem and posted it last week where it wouldnt let me laod up PS6.01..came to an error after reading the fonts..no one really knew the issue then. looked it up on adobe's support page and they said its a bad font. i removed all my fonts..and it laoded..then i just loaded em back into my fonts file a few at a time and reloaded PS and it worked..and either delete or re-downlaod the bad font(s).
hope that helps.
also check out adobe online support and message forums..they can be of great service. the bad font issue also affected my premiere 5.1 and photoshop 5.5... |

i tried everything but nothing seems to work
after its done scanning fonts, it sticks on one (Lucida) for a few seconds then restarts
when i get rid of lucida, it does the same thing with a different font, and no matter how many fonts i delete it keeps doing it!! |
