How old are ya? Its hard to say, cuz many places that deals with digital art you see people that are 13 but here i see people who work for various companies and so, so i was wondering how old ya'll are. for the record, i just turned 17.

I turn 18 in November. And for the record I feel soooo far behind in all of this art related business with all of the 13 year olds who kick ass. =/

well lukely you can that most "13 year olds" can use a lot of filters and plug-ins in photoshop and take a picture of a graphity piece they made. it might look "cool" but they can't do it furhter than that. Well, thats mostly my perseption of it.
Havent seen any of your work, so i wouldn't know though.

24 few months to 25. HATE plugins and filters etc. fun to play for 2 mins but seriously not very creative toys. like the new lego blocks --- what can you make out of those? it's all made "too finished" pieces. Just getting hung of digi painting... done it for 1 year.

I'm turning 20 in two weeks. I'm not a very good digital artist, but I'm learning Flash 5 right now along with painting frantically with brushes (real ones).

GoldenBoy even though i give you right in much of what you said, you can make some great things with filters that you may not be able to in another way. Well at least i'm not one of the elder people here, thats nice

Goldenboy: There are people that think filters are fixer-uppa that provide art but there are also people that know how to use them effectively and wisely. The bad thing is that the former is more common.

I agree, Lego is screwed. I used to make a lot of things with it. Now when I see the new legos I think that creativity has been limited in Lego. Ah well at least I enjoyed the "Real" lego

I didnt start drawing heavily until I was 20. I made about 10 pieces of art in high school...all copied off photos or paintings.

I wish I had started at 13 or 18

I'm 24. But I'm at least twice that old in cranky old bastard years.

*The only good filters are the blur filters.*

I'm 24.

And I think one can put a lot of filters to good use, when using them smart and subtle.

And I might add there are some 13-year-olds that can put you to shame. Check the "old" section of this site and bite your keyboard:
