Is it possible to take flash files? Is there any way (when the flash is in a single window and the source code is unavailable) that you can get the flash, [ie. download it] anyone know of a way? I need to get my grubby paws on some music loops... hehe. |

never mind. Cache works fine. Now how do you extract components from the file within the flash program? |

You can choose to import .swf files from the file menu. But if the file is protected by the artist then you're screwed... |

You can't because the creator of the flash file does not want you to steal his stuff. It's an option to have flash file readable by others or not. If not, you just gotta live with it. [I think the readable ones have a slightly different extension...] |

The thing is a flash file is compiled. Meaning it is all squished into one big file (the swf file). You would have to ask the author to get the .fla file to see all their layers and stuff that they used.
Think of it like a .gif file. You can't save a gif (off IE) and open it up in Photoshop and see all the layers they used, because they are all merged together when saved. You would have to get the .psp file to see all the layers in that instance.
So that is to protect the authors flash techniques. |

But with a gif you can open it up in a gif animatior program and exctract individual files. So, that's nice but. Oh well.
