Before I pull all my hair out... how the heck do you make custom brushes in Photoshop 6? I'm baffled, so any help you guys can give me would be mucho appreciated.

Custom brushes are pretty straightforward in Photoshop. Just click on the picture in the option bar of the brush you want to use as a starting point (the brush image itself, to the left of the arrow that pops up the brushes pallette). Then you'll get a bunch of sliders for size/hardness/spacing to edit. The folded paper icon in the upper right lets you save the brush as a new variant.

Look up 'brushes' in the online photoshop help index -- it's explained pretty well there, and isn't that complicated.

Thanks!
I know how to make new brushes, like you described. But I'm wondering how you make special brushes, for example ones that are composed of multiple dots. I'm trying to find out a better way to accomplish hair and fur. I'm thinking a custom brush like that might do the trick. Any suggestions on how I might do that?
