I'm new at digital art, I've been intrested in it for many years, but only recently have I done something with it. So I was wondering if someone could give me some advice? Such as, what programs i should use, and how to post them here for crit?

you should use adobe photoshop and a wacom tablet and pay hosting. everything else is wack. once you upload, use ubb img tags: [img:3120f8dbc3] http://www.domain.com/image.jpg [/img:3120f8dbc3] without spaces.

roundeye is right on the money. My only addition: if you're finding Photoshop a little clinical, and you're looking for a more "natural media" look, spring for Corel Painter.

i'm still trying to find some hosting, i would jue register a domain, but i can't afford to do that. so i was thinking about geocities or something?

I use geocities and when i posted my image it had alot of problems with people seeing it or something . .

I think im' going to try the free hosting at www.gameart.com. It's worth a shot.

My site is currently hosted by Gameart, but that's after I have submitted a few game-related artworks to them. I'm not sure you have to get your foor in the door that way or they will agree to host any kind of art sites, but it will certainly help.
