This is my first post. Please dont flame me if I did something wrong just tell me, if I did.

Anyway, I just found this place a couple of days ago and seen Sam Liu's post of a manga style elf. So I decided to color it.

Let me know what you guys think. If you are interested in seeing my work, let me know...
I dont have anything at the moment, but I need to fill my portfolio.

I am graduating in 6 months and I dont have a single picture in my portfolio!!! I LOST EVERYTHING IN A MOVE!!! I have to start all over again.

Anyway, I would like people to critique my work as I go along, so my portfolio has some well rounded opinions before I go out in the real world and show it.

Anyway, this is not my design or illustration, all I did was render it....I hope this post works, never posted on a web based system like this

Looks good. But the body's shading the that of the armor seems to be done in different styles?? I mean, the armor has a very "basic" kind of shading/lighting, whereas the body has a very soft and more rendered kinda look. Make sense?

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I was going for the anime style with the armor....but I dont like how anime only gives two shades to skin. I wanted the skin to havea more satin look to it.

Doesnt work together? Should I have went with a different stlye of shading for the metal? What could I have done to soften it up a bit? Add more of a gradient to the metal parts? Was the reflections in the metal too much?
