I dunno how many know this, so I'm saying it anyway.
A while ago geocities went to great lengths to stop image linking from their space. Several work-arounds have existed to enable people to link images anyway. As far as I know all of them have been covered and no longer work.
Except this one;

rename your image files from, say, "pictcha.jpg" to "pictcha.txt" and you will be able to link it in the usual way
ie. in faux UBB code; {img}http://www.geocities.com/someaddress/1234/pictcha.txt{/img}
(replacing {} brackets with square brackets) and it will show up in the thread just like old times.
I don't know how long it will be before they plug that hole, but it works today. You should still shop around for better hosting though.

hehe. If the address is right it appears the trick doesn't work.
I'll go check if I gave the right instructions.
Meanwhile, anyone else care to test it?
