so glad to have this wealth of knowledge and expertise available again.

can i get some general feedback on this painting. Trying to work with lighting effects here.

Hehe...yes, I did rather get a kick out of this. Although, I think it would look a lot better without the black lines....

Hehe... that is a great concept. I really like the image but if you really want to play around with a lighting effect, I would recommend making the highlights lighter and the dark areas darker. Basically you need a bit more range between the colours. This is a bit of 'overkill' but may give you some ideas:
