Hey everyone
I have this dreadful problem with my WACOM Intuos A4regular serial tablet : the pointer is shaking violently (around 1mm amplitude). Does anyone else have this kind of problem and if so how did you solve it. 10x in advance |

Move your tablet physically away from your monitor (about 2 ft) and try moving the cursor again. The monitor emmissions effect the signal between stylus and pad.
Hope that works, if not, get back to us. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Maybe you have it close to a big monitor, or some other electronic device? That might cause the shaking. Hope this helps.

These guys beat me to it! I had the same problem at work and found when I moved the tablet away from the monitor it stopped shaking. |

Been there, done that..
Moving the tablet is not always an option (desk size) but it helps. What you also might try is changing resolution and refreshrate of your monitor. That did it for me.
Good luck

Thank you people,
indeed my 19" monitor seems to be the cause. I put the WACOM away (around 30 cm did the trick) and the shaking disappeared. Which makes me think - I suppose all of you people (painters) have 19-21" monitors - do you have enourmous desks or you just put the tablet on top of your legs while you sit down??? I mean - this is on the top of the bizarre/stupid computer problems list - it used to be only crashes and stuff, now - interference...The ancient paper didn't have those problems... See ya |

Ceenda's probably right... it's a common problem. Sometimes changing the refresh rate of your monitor actually works. Try that. |

I have a 22" monitor and one 14". My keyboard is between the monitor and the wacom, that's enough for mine not to shake. It seems to vary quite a bit from monitor to monitor. %| And putting your tablet in your lap is a complete nono if you want to get something done.. it's almost impossible to draw straight lines with it there
This is what my setup looks like:
