If you want to introduce yourself, post something useful along with your introduction and not just general feet-kissing. Just look at the title of this forum subdivision - Digital Art Discussion.

Another thing is that it seems to me, that you post that walking animation along with all your posts. Please stop that, this forum has no image signatures for a reason, because they suck. Btw. did you do that animation yourself? If not it sucks even more.

We really need some official forum rules and guidelines and more moderating.

You maybe think now, I�m a flamer and idiot, but I think I�m not. I think what I told you is what should be written in the forum guidelines and rules. Hope you aren�t pissed off and I�m sure you�ll get a valuable member here if you want. thx for reading this reply.

gLitterbug's right, though. We need to keep things on topic and cut down on the frivolous postings. So post something you're working on or have finished in one of the other sections, and people will be happy to see you post!

Oh, if it looks like I am mad at him, I�m sorry I don�t wanted that. I just wanted to tell him some points I think aren�t giving him a good start with some people. Not with me, I don�t hate him or anything like that. I like the art he posted in WIP and replied there.
I just wasn�t very friendly, I think that is because I don�t feel like putting to much effort in writing my reply as friendly as possible, because most people don�t care for that anyway.

I hope I didn�t hurt him, but when I registered and posted my first thread, I included some art, an explanation of my nick and logo.

I think I�m a member who doesn�t flame useless or post too much worthless shit, at least I hope so. I don�t know if much people here like me, but I try to act civilized. But I don�t fear to post my opinion, even if that makes me look bad.

It�s just that even if he cares for the forum and just wanted to say hello, he could�ve done it in a more creative way. I just wanted to tell him that.

B) he's not a digital artist, look at his site
C) this is not a discussion of digital art, and given how horribly misrun the forums are getting with every no talent tom dick and suzy retard posting their assy scribbles in the finished work section, I think it's important to be strict about both the purpose of the boards and the need for those with no skill to, rather than come in claiming they are hot shit and filling the boards with worthless ego-boosts which interest no one, learn to listen watch and learn before wasting space.

oh, and faustgfx, I think that other than your obsession with images of yourself, you're pretty cool.

This forum doesn't run like most, that's why there's no "Introduce yourself" board. Most folks here introduce themselves by posting art in the "WIP" or "Finished" galleries. Don't be discouraged by the response you've gotten, that's what makes this forum so great, honesty and diversity of opinion. Go post some works in the WIP or Finished sections of the forum and get the comments and critiques you need to improve as an artist. Trust me you'll like it here if you're serious about improving your art, there are some incredible artists here and you have their knowledge at your disposal. This place is truly an invaluable asset to all artists.

Take it easy and hang in there.

mezoic, I was in a bad mood about the state of the finished art forum as well as due to personal issues, I have no wish to have a grudge between us. I also have nothing against this newbie, it's just the principal of people posting crud for no reason, be it poor sketches which weren't thought out going into finished art, or just expecting that on a forum this big it makes sense to post an entire thread to commemorate you joining, expecting an entire discussion to crop up around the buzz from your big entrance (umm, this time excluded)

I did read glitterbugs post. I never said I wanted a reply from 4700 members, it was only a simple topic but people like him have to get carried away and turm my topic into something it's not.-It's really sad that these artists are so angry and I think they should vent their anger in a more positive way. It's a shame because I could have gotten along with them but sometimes things like these happen.
