Do you find it sometime more difficult to paint / draw on computers when it's daylight ?
I usually scribble my nights away in front of the pc, but I wanted to do some color correction again lately. My windows aren't completely blocked from the sun but I do have shut blinds.
When watching the same pics by night my eyes started bleeding so much the colors were screaming contrasted and saturated !
On the contrary, I have to wince to see half of the detailing on stuff I've been doing at night when watching it during the day.
I've been wondering about that for quite some time now.. Anyone had the same experience ? Advices ? I live by night and was wondering how the rest of the world was coping without having to live in a grotto.
EEk ! My longest new topic without a pic.. I think I caught Fred's secretary syndrome !!
ege- wondering if she's colorblind or s'mthin' |

Interesting subject! I sit in a studio where colorwork is impossible between 5pm and 7pm (when the sun is shining, that is). The sun is spot on our room and our white walls doesn't help either. But I try to work both when there's daylight and when it gets darker. To spread out the impact of light/nonlight and to see the picture in both conditions. Also I try to do as many prints along the as possible to nail incosistencies (sp?) as soon as possible. The printer does has to pretty high standard ofcourse... Am I rambling here???

interesting topic...
in fact i draw and paint digitally whenever i'm inspired to do something.
but i never realized these color problems you talk about. i think this is because i prefer to choose my colors by numbers and not by the color palette. |

Oh shoot ! Does that means I'm going to have to shell out thoushands for a decent printer and go back to mathematics as well ? Gyah!
Thank you for your comments, I shall try to spread the amount of time I'm working on a piece (day/night) and start checking out on those color charts numbers I've been floating around lately..
