Looking at the 'what should I paint on my jeans' post, I remembered something that I'd like some advice on. I'm getting my license very soon, and my dad's letting me have the old blue minivan. It's not in the best shape, and the paint is starting to chip, so my dad's letting me paint it! Any ideas?

You should paint a shark's face on the front end of the van. It would look like one of those WWII airplanes.

Nehh, I think the shark thing is a tad too fierce for my style. It can be illustration or design, whatever- I don't want to screw up the car, but it's looking pretty bad either way, so I figured I would have some fun with it. And I don't think anyone will be owning it after me. I thought for a minute of going in the direction of my hippy neighbor's old van, that had just plan painted on peace signs, doodles, and handprints on it, and go crazy. Problem is I'm not a hippy.

something like that might be looking cool on a car.

but one hint:
we painted my mother's car. you have to make several finishes with clear lac. it's really neccessary because after half a year the paint looses its colorness very fast when not finished properly.null

i would also paint rust on the car... or something like the car is made of old rusty metal plates.
