Hey - I've poked through the pages for several weeks now and thought I'd pose a question because I haven't seen much, if any...does anyone out there do vector-based artwork? I'm talking about Illustrator or more appropriately Freehand illustrations?
i've seen some people include solid-looking line shapes that probably were done with rectangular selections and i just cringe. i work as a graphic designer (sort of) and spend half of my time in Photoshop and half in Freehand (and a third half in Studio Max - lot of time!). I haven't quite gotten a handle on digital painting but I've done some cool work in vector art and photo manipulation...and since this is a generic digital art discussion forum I thought i'd see if anyone else has done any....???
Maybe I'll post some of my vector work later if anyone wants to see it? |

You said you did some vector work, I think CorelDRAW is also a vector softeware. DO you use it?
It is my main painting tool, I'd like to get to know some more people who use CorelDRAW. |

Hi Ichiban,
I actually own another site which lists Macromedia FLASH sites on the web. http://www.FlashWorks.net because flash is vector I'm sure you'll find alot of attractive vector-art sites with plenty of inspiration and creativity.
Hope that helps

Line - Flash is vector based, yes, but just doesn't have the power of a specific vector program like Freehand. Thanks for the link, though. Another good one is http://www.flashguru.co.uk/, but they just redesigned and i don't like the new layout...
eBrain - I haven't used any Corel products for about 5 years now, but that's just my general preference. I've seen some really nice work in Corel, just never done any myself.
