can anybody tell me what resolution
they start of with?
It is good to work with big size or samll.
thanx any advice would be great. |

1280x1024 is what i use. i would go higher but i can't till i get a new set of drivers for my monitor, but that is what i use for my screen resolution.

Resolution should first be determined by the context of what you're doing, and by the power of your system if you're doing bitmap artwork which is very RAM intensive.
If you're doing stuff for yourself (or maybe the net), and not intending to do printed output, then a screen res. of 72dpi is just fine. Although working at a basic print res. of 300dpi might not sound that big a step, but multiple undos and an even modest page size places tremendous burdens on your system.
Some working in a bitmap environemnet like to work initially in low-res for the immediacy of it all, and then later 'res-up' for print or whatever, which essentially entails re-working the image so that it is suitable for hi-res. The package I use is resolution independent, so this isn't an issue.
