Suffice to say, I'm CONSIDERING buying Adobe Photoshop, or at least Painter 6 (I'm at 5.5 now and I can't stand not having layers). Right now I normally use PSP 7.02, but I know that this isn't the standard issue and adobe's high priced product is. It's not that I don't HAVE the money to buy these, but it's still a lot, and I wonder whether it is worth it. I'm still in high school, and still doing this for fun, so IS it very important that I learn Photoshop, or should I be able to pick it up when I need it without extravegant amounts of hassle? This isn't another debate between the two products (we've already all seen about 100 of those), and I actually think I have asked a question similiar to this before. So, if I'm planning to have this type of work as a future occupation, is it worth shelling out this money so early? Or should I wait til I get a temporary job so that I can make enough so that spending this much isn't a hassle? I'm probably getting redundany, so I shall leave it at that. Please post your opinions on my situation, because I am EXTREMELY stumped (I had to go and spend that money on a digital camera didn't I ) |
