I recently installed Linux Mandrake 8 on my PC and would like to get my Graphire to work so I can try out some of the Linux graphics applications. However, installing the unofficial Wacom driver isn't exactly a snap for the Linux beginner. Did any of you ever get your Wacom to run under Linux ? If so could you help me get it done ?
Thanks,

Well, I don't run Linux anymore, but as far as I can remember, it wasnt all that hard. Check the HOWTO's. There should be one on Wacom-Tablet. If I remember correctly, there is a link there that takes you to a page where you can get the driver for X86. Then from there it's pretty much copy/pasting code from the HOWTO into your XF86Config. Pressure sensitivity and all other options are usually set through dialogs, ie: Gimp.
Good Luck. |
