Where can I find some good painter 6 tutorials. I don't want stuff like "how to make your type look 3d, rusted, etc..." I'm looking for painterly tips, like how to paint realistic mountains, or how to paint trees. I got frustrated searching because it seems most tutorial sites treat painter like illulstrator and use it for text and web buttons, grrrrr! |

Hi,
The Painter 6 WOW! Book is one that I'd recommend.
Also, the Artistry Online CDs at http://www.artistrymag.com
Jeremy Sutton's site - http://www.portrayals.com might give you some useful information.
Don Seegmiller's site, mentioned already, is another good one.
A great place, and rich resource, to learn how artists use Painter (as well as other software), their techniques, brushes they use, etc., is In Depth Discussions where there are many forums including ones where artists post their works in progress for critique and helpful feedback. The address is: http://www.critical-depth.com/cgi-bin/idd/
Hope this helps,
Jin
