meh: demonic sound of satisfaction, used to imply happiness, despair, impish delight or to say hello.

Meh. I am new. I fall down a lot. I would also like to ask if it is possible to get a traditional 'visible-brush' look on a digital painting because I see Matt Rhodes doing it, but he's busy and unlikely to do a tutorial soon.

[unhappily] meh...

Hi Hwei,
You are from Malaysia?
great. Nice knowing you.

By the way, that visible brush look could be done with the brush effects in Photoshop and Illustrator, using the brush options.
But! the technics are pretty hard cause it needs concentration and effects that simply sudden. That's my two cents worth.

and whereabout Malaysia?

>whereabouts from Malaysia

Subang, the Klang Valley, the one with the massive traffic jams because they've been rebuilding the roads for two years. We live in a strange world.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried going all ganas with various brushes and the smudging tool. It's ... more or less ... working.

I'm in Shah Alam. UiTM.
Yeah i know how's Klang valley nowadays.
Traffic Jams everyday and all throughout the year. Can't stand the heat!
Did you noticed the road buildings in Damansara area? it's worst....and great Samyvellu makes toll overthere...so i should pay about $1 to go to my house in TTDI and that's stoopid.

And hey, keep workin' on that brush. I hope somebody answers soon. Cos I dont think illustrator could do it to perfection.

c ya later.
