The Eye Of Chaos
So I have this idea for a picture, but it is not going to come from my hands. The idea has been in my head for years, but will not allow itself to be translated to paper / computer.
The story
In this world there are many things living and undead, however most are influenced by law or chaos. For this story we are only concerned with chaos. The influence that is known as chaos is a giant detached eye. It is known as The Eye Of Chaos.
This eye is very large (12 feet / 4 meters) wide and 6 feet / 2 meters tall). The eye is intelligent and semi-malevolent. The eye has no eyelid and does not move very often. It is said that within the veins of the eye the souls of those creatures influenced can be seen.
Now prior to this time, Law (a counter balanced entity) imprisoned Chaos in a tower made of structure and restraint (more of a metaphor then a literal reality). The eye of chaos now lives at the top of this tower guarded by a blind man (actually an eunuch). The tower is 100 feet from the ground and has 100 stairs and 100 bolts in the door that confines the eye. The guard is a man of no practical knowledge or wisdom, but is a man of honor and repetition.
The Eye has tendrils (or muscles and tendons if you will) extending from the bottom of the eye into pools of swirling water underneath it. A small amount of blood drips from the eye down the tendrils into the pools. These pools are places and times in the world that the Eye is imprisoned within. The Eye has only a limited ability to interact with the world since its imprisonment. Eventual the blood from the eye will diminish and the eye will no longer be able to create the influence of chaos into the world, and then must return to its world.
If the Eye can find a creature that can be influenced sufficiently with chaos, then the eye may be able to convince this creature to attempt to free the eye from its imprisoned state. All this time, Law will guard the tower and attempt to make sure that no one or nothing ever sees the tower.
The viewer of this image will see a large eye in an ancient sealed off stone tower. Under the eye are several pools; within each pool is a different (and random) picture of a time or place that the Eye is attempting to gain influence on.
There is actually more to this story, but I dont want to waste more time
