Justin used to be the Art Director for Black Isle. Think he just focuses on conceptual and production art now. this is what he told me: "Each project more or less handles their own art direction, and I'm off on my own doing more of the production art."

Yep, awesome. 'been following Justin's work for some time now --there's just a little wee bit of talent there I think

All those images have such strong design - love 'em!

link bookmarked - thanks.

Jason - there looks to be a good number of Painter images in there; and it appears Justin use a similar technique to your "watercolor" block-in to start a lot of the paintings and get the basic tonal design working - is that correct?

Thanks Jason -

I love that "watercolor" technique, thanks for doing that tutorial/step-by-step you did. I'd been mostly using the "canhead" painter tutorial technique until I saw your/Justin's technique. The watercolor technique is a lot faster for me for some reason. Great stuff.
