Did anything catch your eye and did any of the artists make an impression?

I'm just curious if anyone goes to shows and what they look for. My dad is painting again and he has done about 4 art shows in the last month.

about... 3 weeks ago, me and my boyfriend went up the street to a community art show that they hold around once a month or so. There was this amazing surrealist artist there, but I cant remember his name.. the works were amazing tho.
