ok... what kind of paintbrush settings you prefer to use in photoshop?
You like to use size & opacity stylus activated on brush? and opacity set to 100%? Or how?
I'm just curious to know 'cause my "painting" experiments tends to look messy crap...
So any Help would be appericiated, Thank you!!! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I like it 100% opacity with pressure sensitivity. I don't use the size-pressure option much, just for some special purporses.
Experimenting with different settings shouldn't be so difficult, really.
Anyway, hope this helps. |

hmmm. I use paintbrush most of the time but really, anything goes.
show us some of the experiments.
for a start the brushes I use most of the time are plain round brushes with a slight feather. most of the time I have pressure on and size off. but it's really all about what effect you want. adjusting the spacing to give yourself a smoother stroke (slows down your comp tho) can help.
Hard to comment without seeing what kind of problems you are running into and what kind of effect you were trying to get.=) |

Tepox - you'll need to find that out for yourself - because, what's right for me, doesn't mean is right for you and vice versa. But here are some general hints:
* highres: go as hires as you can, it will make your brush-strokes look sharper and better - the antialiasing will be 'smaller', that means the image appears less fuzzy
* wet edges: ever gave that a try. once you get going it's a nice variant
* experiment which pressure sensitivity you like the best. There's no general 'right' value, just your personal one.
* check your tablet settings and tune it to your liking. the preset pressure might not be ideal ...
