You can get a free copy of Max 4 here:

Nvidia is holding a contest to see who can code the coolest pixel shader, and a copy of Max 4 is the grand prize (along with a shiny new GeForce 3).
Now, if you're looking for a PIRATED version, this is a no-warez board. Search elsewhere. |

if i am not mistaken 3dworld and computerarts magazines have 15-day trial versions of 3dsmax4 as coverdiscs. I cant wait until my local bookstore has it available, i really want to give the brazil rendering system a try  |

| Microsoft.com has a free copy of 3DSMAX4 for download. Just go the "Products" and search for "Windows". Down the list a little bit is the program you request. |
