Just got this, and I can definitely give it 2 thumbs up, a great great GREAT game... so far
the great mighty poo, and the demon/piss sections have to be the best ones, plus multiplayer is awesome...
the game's bad points? well it stretches the N-64 to the limits, so the framerate drops sometimes, but I never noticed it if I didn't look for it

allso, it tends to be frustrating... in the harder sections (anythign requiring normal platformer skills, as this is normally NOT a normal platformer...) maybe it's cus I suck at these type of games usually.

the humor is simple and dirty, and well written. everything is an inuendo...\

anyone else play it?

I remember playing banjo kazooie, that game had really cool environments. I wonder if BFD has the same kind of feel to it...

I also hear you can aim Conker's urine stream, that would be amusing...

I'm still waiting for Black and White for the pc.....ahhH!

well the game plays completely diffrently from any other N-64 platformer,
instead of having to collect X number of Items and beat one after another generic enemy, this game is actually a collection of action sequences, each of which is FUCKING HILARIOUS and fun as hell... oh and there's not much real jumping or platforming action either...

think of it as a collection of the coolest bosses you've ever seen.... oh and the multiplayer is amazingly good too.... with multiple modes anything from a wipeout knockoff to a standard deathmatch, to capture the flag in tanks.... it's really cool to play

I just finished the level with the Terminator robot/giant haystack boss. Loads of fun, even though I'm not a fan of platformers. I hate that platformers are only about eye/hand coordination. Conker sass because of its fucked up sense of humor.

Multiplayer was a blast too, but of course, if I REALLY wanted to get into a frag-fest, I'd boot up UT or Counterstrike.

actually I am not that into the whole "fragfest" shit... I mean yah I'll enjoy a good game of Quake CTF or Counterstrike, or any of the other games out there, but usually no more than a single player game against bots... It'd really missint the element you get when you can punch your buddy sitting next to you to make him miss the shot, or laugh together as somone crashes in a new creative way.... even playing counterstrike, I can only really enjoy it when others are playing here with me (we have a LAN at home)

do you know what sucks about this game, its the fact the the british censorship company thinks its to f'n rude so they won't allow it to be released in britain not fair i won't even be able to get on import cuz Rare have a habit of making the games so that they won't work on other region machines. Oh well i could always move to america

the N-64 has no region protection, except that japanese games have an extra plastic "knob" on the machine preventing you from inserting american games, but nothing you need a chip for....

your only problem might be the game's PAL/NTSC compliance...

and RARE not releasing in britain? weird since they ARE british....

well I havn't seen clockwork orange yet... ugh I want to though...
there are TONS of references, up to this point I cought wizard of Oz, Eyes Wide shut... well I dont remember everything, there are allso refrences to games, there's a whole section that is a perfect wipeout like race complete with the correct music...

yah some of the quests are childish, but this game is supposed to be funny
I really hate all these PS2 and Xbox games that just take themselves so fucking seriously, this game knows what it is, and you know you'r playing a game, and you laugh because of it... it's a very well written well composed well designed game. if a bit hard at times

I work at EB and we were suposed to presell that game... if you presold the most.. you and 9 friendsgot to go to E3 for free.. with 1,000 spending cash. Damn nice huh? To bad so many people think the N64 is just for kids.. I alone only sold 8 before the release date. Good game... just not the right system.

Isn't the swearing censored? I hear when you beat the game the "bleeps" are removed...

allthough I do think basing a whole side quest on trying to get a sunflower (with breasts?) to reveal herself is a bit childish...

it was sort of funny......I like the clockwork orange influence with the milk drinking and all...

well it would not have even been noticed on any other system....
and what the hell is this about the N-64 being a Kid's system, I mean these are games, and this is GAMEPLAY, it's really funny how games that rely exclusively on story have overshadowed those games that are fun, I mean yah conker relies on it's story a bit, but inside, the game is briliant... they took the normal platformer, and removed all the tedious elements, no Item collection, not too much platform jumping, and every battle is a Boss battle, creating an almost new type of game.

I will admit the game's controll felt really smooth and some of the liquid animations were pretty cool(like blood and water splashes) I'm suprised they could do some of that stuff on the n64...

actually that game pretty much pushes the N-64 to it's limit... you see the framerate drop on more than one occasion, but all of that stuff was pretty much done before, the cool liquid drops and stuff was done in Turok 2, as was all the streamer type stuff (piss and fire the one really cool thing in conker's BFD is the facial animation... it's not too complicated to do, but adds TONS to the game, actually seeing him mouth the words, and his expression change with the tone of the speech is priceless

heh makes me a whole lot more comfident about gamecube... I am really tired of all those super serious games from Sony who take themselves too seriously, I mean you can only have so much "resident Evil" before it gets tired... Nintendo just has a greater veriaty of games... plus a greater variaty of gameplay..

I just went to the website and checked out the videos. I'm going to have to buy this game and dig my N64 out of the attic. They have behind the scenes and extra footage from the commercial. Funny stuff. I love the matrix parody.
