I'm using Corel Photopaint version 8...When I have a document in CMYK (32 bit) mode, and I try to paint with the brush tool set on "screen", it makes the strokes darker rather than lighter...how can i fix this??????...everyone says work in CMYK mode so you see the colors on screen as they appear when printed i must get my work done!!!!! >_<...thanks

Who's everyone?
Of course the colors change from RGB to CMYK, but i prefer that before those probs you get by working in CMYK.
And for your problem: Can you get more precise? Which color you have selected, when drawing? What color has the background? Same prob in other tools or just with brush?

tried using both light and dark colors for both the foreground and the background, and screen doesn't work on any tool...about CMYK everyone says if you're gonna color comics you have to do it in that

if its really that much of a pain in the ass, just do it in rgb and then print it. i've found, at least, that it doesnt change very much. |

- I think there are some RGB colors/values which cannot be represented in CMYK.
- CMYK is used for printing, so, for coloring/printing comics, this might be true, at least, images should be in CMYK for printing, even if you work them in RGB.
- RGB is additive, while CMYK is subtractive, so I assume the application paints it as such.
(to be taken with a grain of salt... I hate printing and hope I never have to deal with it). |
