When ever I upload a picture onto a web site it becomes much darker than the original. Anyone know why or how i can fix that???

I would assume that:

a) your painting program has some gamma settings which makes your image look lighter within that application, thus darker with other applications.

b) viewing images on an empty webpage with a white background will make the image seem darker because of all the brightness around it.

Basically, no, images do not change colors because they are being uploaded somewhere.
