The camel's back was finally broken, and iimnyscrt and I spent the afternoon at his house, designing a new website to host the PaintChat. It has password protection now, and should be amazingly good at screening out the pricks that ruin it for everyone.
Sijun is the main source for the incredible gang of artists that we have going at the board... but sijun.com is also the sole referrer for the absolute immature losers that come there. Oh, well... I'm in danger of getting lost in another rant, and that's not my reason for posting. It's to tell you to email me to get the username and password for the board.
You can preview the board rules on This Page, that also has a link to the new board (by way of password), and a way to email us in charge of the board.
However: If you want to get the username and password info right away, just email me now. [email protected] I'll be home most of the time for the next week or so, so I'll immediately reply to any emails with the words "PaintChat" or "Password" in the subject area. You'll get a form letter that tells you the 2 steps to get onto the applet.
Once you gain access, you should be able to add the PaintChat to your favorites, and go there directly... until some goon wrecks it for us all again, and we have to change the password and port again.
For this first time, I'm not going to be picky about whom I share the password and username with. If we get a real loser on the board, however, I'll have to narrow the list of passwords I send out to only those I KNOW will not disrupt the area.
[Disclaimer] The rules seem strict, and I guess they are, but they're mainly written to prevent lame behaviour. I'm sure that only about 3% (or less) of the visitors are not welcome there... and only then, if they aggravate the others. It's that simple. Compromise the rules, and not only do you make it harder for me, and everyone at the board, but you'll lose access to it forever.
I want to tell the bulk of you how much I absolutely have loved your presence there. All of the effort iimnyscrt and I have put into the board, is worth it... and it is there for you to just come hang out, and have fun.
Make sure to e-mail me!! [email protected]

Wait wait wait... I just sent an email a while ago to you to gain access. I think I misunderstood or something. Do we get our own name and password or is there just some general one that everyone is going to use. If its the general name thing then I feel like an idiot cause I requested my own name. And if its the first, then I feel like an idiot for even thinking it was the second thing. GAH! Im confused. Seems like its something that comes easily to me. Confusion that is. If you could clear up the discombobulidity, it would be great. Wait is that a word? Im confused. GAH!

Stuntcock, the pass is the same for everybody, but if you are in PaintChat with a different name than you told em in the e-mail then they will question you where you got the pass from :P
at least that's how I understand it |

Thanks KrassOtti... that's right.
I'm using the same username and password for everyone. This only gets you through the secure area.
Once you've logged in, you will see a page dedicated to the board... news, tutorial, and even a gallery (coming). There is also a FAQ area, that pretty much is an attempt to cover the problems people have with the board. There is also (of course) a link to the PaintChat from that area.

I have a problem with rule 2 and 6 tho.
Back in the day of synj drawing board it was great when everybody drew on one picture. All the different skills and styles combined were a lot of fun. It was great to connect your drawing to pictures of synj or other artists. Drawings began to tell a story... I miss that ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/frown.gif) |

Notice that I said "Without Permission From The Artist"
For instance, I was drawing for a long time on a piece that I was really proud of. Someone came along, and drew eyes on it, then put a frame on it, cropping out some of the art, and then they blotted it out! It's down right rude!
If an artist is fine with you drawing on his drawing, or mingling in the space, that's fine! Just do it using your best judgement, and don't piss anyone off. I think you read into it wrong, myself.
