my high school runs a quarterly magazine composed of creative submissions from students. traditionally, AURA has been orchestrated by a select group of the student body, and this has worked in the past; however, this year the staff has been reduced and many do not put forth the effort of years past. without much guidance, the magazine began to look like this might be the final year of a 30 year tradition... i was elected art editor of the staff, and i performed my job, but my efforts were not always matched by other staff members. i'm not here to knock them, but something needed to be done. so i stepped in and have effectively taken over management to preserve this article of student creativiy. i want this long-delayed issue to be worth the wait. any ideas for producing an exciting and visually appealing issue?
some guidlines to which i must adhere:
- the pages must be black and white. that means no grey. black. and white.
- all work in the issue must be produced by the students in my school. no appropriation of copyrighted material.
- remember, high school level. no pr0n.
- in the past, the issues have consisted of student poetry and essays coupled with student artwork. any digressions from this would be gladly welcomed.
thank you all for your assistance. btw, if need arises i can scan some pages from past issues. btw2, i am trying to get the issue finished in no more than two weeks. i already have the bulk of literary contributions, art contributions, etc. creativity with layout or content is a plus.
thanks again,
