I've inked traditionally and digitally. Traditionally with a size 3 and 6 series 7 sable. if the brush is too small it won't hold a point well. Digitally i've used the camelhair brush in painter....worked at about 300 dpi. Lately ive needed to ink using vectors ie. Illustrator, Xara and Flash. Illustrator has a great natural media freehand tool.
Sorry....i'm not familiar with Gen X?....i haven't been fully into comics for a while.
btw - our comic is up at www.cosmicsodapop.com.....it looks alright.
