the fundamentals sort of training. I mean, every picture you do are you concerned about vanishing points, and all that, or is all that stuff just in the back of your head and you learn to go by your eye? I'm really curious about what being an artist is to most people (who are artists) |

Everyone's an artist in their own way, be it writing, painting, programming, or sports. Try to relate art to what you do good. Do you follow every technique discussed in BasketBall, do you have them in your head all the time? or do you use your instinct to make decisions. Do you think of your spelling or grammar every time you write? or do you decide that you'd rather write for the story? Digital painting is like any other art. You learn the basics, but you'll also learn to use your creativity to produce amazing work. I think technique is a great tool to have, but it sort of forms barriers to improvising. In Music, not all the out of tune chords are bad, you can make them work to your own flavor of music. Just my two cents. |
