Sorry for all the questions lately...but I'm new to computer artwork and still trying to get comfortable. I'm a supposed traditional artist and computers are anew thus far. So I need help again.
I'm trying to print a image from Photoshop 5.5 that already has a blue background, the paper I'm printing on is also blue....the problem is that I cannot match the two colours....in rgb or cmyk and the person who I'm printing this for says it has to match!! Not to mention the fact that they expect three different colours of the image, for three different coloured papers.
I really need help on this....I found nothing on the web. Anything is appreciated. |

Well, your computer assumes it's going to be printing on white paper. So for any part of your image that's white, no ink will be printed.
What you need to do, then, is take any part of your image that's supposed to match the color of the paper, and make it white. This should work for any color paper you use. Keep in mind, though, that other colors will be affected by the paper color too. It will be impossible to get, say, a nice solid yellow color, since mixing the yellow ink and the blue paper will turn out a dull green.
Anyway, I hope this gives you something to go on.

Oh and what you said about that which is white doesn't print, worked very well. Thanks for the input.
The colour wheel also must've slipped my mind, yellow and blue are fucked.....or better yet the idiot that picked those colours must be.....thanks again. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
