Are there any good art universaties around Florida? If anyone knows could you please name them and if they have a webpage (if you know of) write the link. Also whats the best ones around the U.S?

PS: College should teach graphic design, computer animation. and concept design if theres such a thing.

Ringling College of Art and Design is in Sarasota, FL. And, they do have a computer animation major.

You can't go wrong with picking a school from the list PIXAR recommended. That's where I started on my search:

Ringling is probably the best around these parts.

Thanks guys. My teacher says the art institude isnt very good. Not sure if its true or not. I checked out Ringling and it seemed pretty good.

Hmm, I'm looking to transfer to Ringling.

Maybe Ohio State, but I have trouble finding info about the animation program. I know they were big back in the days of tron, perhaps it's gone by the wayside today. That would be a lot cheaper for me, obviously.

This is a great opportunity for my first post

I go to the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. It's a fairly large, accredited art school that pretty much has a major for anything having to do with art. The computer art department is by far the most popular and arguably one of the best in the country. The computer art dept. has five tracks: 2D animation, 3D animation, Motion Graphics, Game design, and interactive design. They also have the standard Graphic Design as a major as well.

I graduated from Full Sail in Winter Park, FL. 14 months and you get associates of science degree and certified in Maya. Learn everything from special effects to game character design. Really bad ass school. The computer labs are open all night so deadlines are fun to meet. You'll get used to 30-40 hrs of no sleep. It's a blast. www.fullsail.com
