I haven't posted much, but I have been here just as long as anyone.

I just wanted to pay my respects to a few talents that I've seen grow in these forums. The first of which is Isric. I think you are a phenominal artist, and at such a young age I am eager to see what you will become. Don't ever quit! And Ceenda.. your ideas and concepts ALWAYS grab and amaze me.. and your improvement with portraits and characters has been astonishing! And Janne, you are relatively new, but one of the best! I love the colour choices you make, they are absolutely breath-taking. I always look forward to your posts.

And of course I gotta pay my respects to the guys that continue to inspire me on a daily basis: Joachim, Micke, Craig, CapnFlush, Liquid!, Jason Manley, FaustGfx (you have GREAT ideas), Synj, Gecko, and tons more. Every day inspires me in this place. Some time soon I'll have the courage to show my work... sometime... soon :P

Best Regards to all!

Cold.

Actually it isn't cold today, that is just my programmed response being Canadian.

I'm now off to drink maple syrup and beer while chopping down trees and skinning a beaver.

Tree Merchant: Firstly, it makes me very glad that you find my artwork an inspiration and I hope it helps encourage yourself and others to explore your own interests in all areas of art and to be one of those to take "leaps and bounds" here on Sijun and elsewhere.

Sijun has been something a phenonemon. I totally agree with the points you make about Isric and Janne and so many others. I often look at Isric's pics and think "Here is someone who knows how to put atmosphere into a picture!". And this is him before Art School as well! I think it was Gecko who introduced me to Janne's work. That amazing picture of nasty Santa is one of the images that I remember well. There are just so many guys on Sijun who's work I find an inspiration. I think where Sijun excells is in the fact that the people who come here are exposed to just so many different styles.

When I first discovered the Sijun forums, I posted a picture of "The Poulps", inspired by Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". To my amazement, someone ominiously called "spooge demon" posted a pic that he had done of Captain Nemo and in a sense, that was really a turning point for me and inspired me greatly. Whilst he is obviously concerned about recent issues, I hope Craig realises what an inspiration he has been, and continues to be, for myself and others on this forum.
