Following my good friend Feebsaint's lead, I have posted a painter script and quicktime movie on my web site. www.seegmiller-art.com The script is more than a year old and I really don't work quite the same way anymore but maybe you will find it interesting until I finish a new one.

It is working for me. I just went there and it loaded. Let me know if there is a continued problem and I will try something else. There is one flaw in the script as it plays back. Some of the brushes did not play correctly at the end of the movie. Ah well, I hope you get the gist of the thing anyway.

I tired to keep these scripts short because they were part of a presentation. The image took about an hour to paint. The images were kept small so that you could see the whole thing on the projection screen. I'll try to get another up this weekend.

Other than asking me for a paper texture I don't have, it looks great. I notice that in the mov file you start with a pencil sketch, and in the ssd you just start plopping down paint. Which method do you normally use? Looks great.

Seeg: Will probably attend your lecture at GDC this year, maybe we could chat a little if you're not already too busy talking with the tons of other guys there. =)

Nice pic, I really like your faces and shades.

G'day Seeg and thanks for this post. I had a look at the quicktime version and I always like to see how others go about their craft.

Thanks for the great script, I can never get enough of them.

2 pet peeves.

1. not a big edal, but Painter asked me 5 or 6 times for a paper texture I don't have.

2. My paper color was set to black. When I ran the script it turned out really bad the first time. Then I changed my paper color to white and reran, then everything looked great. Maybe you could set the paper color with your script in the (hopefully coming) next one.

Thanks!

There should have been a "gif" image in the zip to run the script on. In the future look for the included sketch image. Try downloading my paper textures then the script should run with out the agravation.

I'll try harder to make them more friendly
