OK...please answer me. I am joining the Air Force and I don't know where I will be stationed. If I am lucky I will be stationed in Los Angeles AFB in El Segundo so that I can attend CSU Long Beach, which has a reasonably good art program.
But what about North California and other states?! Like, NY? Florida? Maryland? I really want to get an old school art education emphasizing figure and landscape painting. (good for layoutting background and concept drawings....) But, is there any public university in US that provides quality art education program? I rally don't wanna be taught by some pot-smoking hippie teacher who believes that skill is the antithesis of art.
I am desperate!!!! |

UCLA art school is really good. Why not hit up a junior college for a while, keep your grades up, then go there?
