Anyone else familiar with this stuff? I recently got a book "The Art of Joe Chiodo" and he has done alot of what is called "good girl art". Which is like pinups and stuff. Well I went looking for more books with his work in it and I found a series called "the Glamour Girls Collections". Which has him along with some other artists. Has anyone here picked up any of these? I'm wondering if they are worth getting, because he is one of my favorite colorists/painters. They are at http://www.budplant.com

I am not familiar with him, but I've found a small gallery of his artwork (I was curious as to what his style was). I have to say that I do like his colors and I also like the way he does his faces.
Joe Chiodo small gallery (not his official gallery): http://www.imagenetion.com/jchiodo1.htm

Yeah, most of those pictures are in his book. If you are familiar with Jim Lee from comics.. Joe use to color all of his stuff when Jim first started WildStorm. WildC.A.T.S. was one of the main books they worked on together. But his painting is better than his coloring IMHO. In his book he has some pictures he did of westerns which are fantastic. |
