Has anyone seen videos of Metal Gear Solid 2? That game looks awesome. Frankly, I wasn't impressed with the gameplay in MGS1, but it was very cinematic.
And the music in it rocks. |

The graphics may be cool, but what really matters is how it plays...
ever play RE:Code Veronica for the dreamcast? The graphics were superb, you just never REALLY got to interact with the cool environments, they may as well just left the bkgs pre-rendered.
I hope the people who are making MGS2 realize that with better graphics, the gameplay should get an upgrade too...
all that processing power doesn't need to just do graphics stuff, physics REALLY add to gameplay as well...
Play Hitman: Codname 47 for pc and you'll know what i'm talking about....

I totally agree. Notice my comment on the original. I have hope(false though it may be).
Hitman is wonderful. I don't know how a game without IK will ever be satisfying again. |

I've never played Metal Gear Solid, but my friends that own PlayStations all say it's the best game they've ever played. From what I've read about the recent playable demo, your worries about gameplay seem unnecessary. But we'll have to wait and see, eh?

I saw that Hideo Kojima(the guy who made MGS) said he wanted people to have finished MGS1 before they played MGS2. Since I never did, I'm going back through it(with cheatcodes ). God dang, I never realized the depth of the story. You guys should play it through. If you want to cheat, drop me a line and I'll let you know how. |

if you want game interaction and physics listen to this. If you hit an ice bucket, it will fall and the ice will spill all over the floor. The ice will slowly melt until its nothing but water. How cool is that! and thats only one thing.
