Hey.. Im fairly new to this digital painting scene and am having a few problems. Im using a wacom intuos 9x12 and painter classic/6. My first problem is with my wacom board. For some reason or another the pressure gets locked at maximum sometimes while im usinging it. and i have to close painter and reopen it to fix this.. im not sure if this is a problem with the drivers I have installed or mabey some settings that i having changed ( I have not tweaked anything dealing with the tablet yet.. dont know how to Second question dealing with the tablet is I was wondering if it was possible to set up the 4d mouse to control colour.. like bind the wheel to brightness and buttons to predefined colours.
My final question deals with detailing in painter. I have done two paintings so far, and they both have the same problem. Once I get to the shading stage my paintings begin to look really blurry and hacky. The way i was told to shade was just to use the airbrush to fill in hi/med/low areas of color then use the water tool to smear. Im hoping someone out there has gone through this before and will be able to provide me with some wisdom. Here are my two paintings so far.. you can see what i mean ;P
Thanks for your time.
PS. If anybody knows and tweaks that i should do to the wacom / painter to improve the preformance, please tell.
