Talk about a monopoly on a product. To a digital artist, is there any other brand?

Anyway, I just wanted to leave a note to all of you who work with larger wacom tablets (9 x 12 plus+) to consider contacting me if you upgrade and want to sell your last one. I'm in no hurry to get one so I'm just waiting for a deal on a used one. This board would probably be the only reason I'd use it, lol.

Anywho, if you could do that, I'd appreciate it. I have a legitimate email address in my info here.

Thx,

On one other note, does anyone know if this ultimate bulletin board lets you assign a certain background colour to the table cells in the main screen of topics that are posted with a certain 'message icon'?

Starseed -

Yes, there are other brands out there. I myself have a Calcomp tablet - which makes me part of a true minority around here. I'm pretty happy with it, even though it's fairly small.

You can check out their products at www.gtocalcomp.com

I remember there being a couple of wacoms up for sale at the Arstechnica for sale/trade board a while ago. You might pop over there and do a search.

Hope this helps.

I have an aiptek 8x6 that cost me around 70$ (with 30$ rebate). Their website is http://www.aiptek.com. I think it's a pretty nice pad for the money. The wacom 100$ tablet was so damn small and the 6x8 intuos was so damn expensive.

Here is mine: http://www.aiptek.com./Products_HyperPen-8000.htm

edit; fixed link

Thx for the info guys; I'll keep a lookout for those brands . . . a few months ago I followed the intuos 9x12's that came up on eBay and its ridiculous, they were going for nearly retail. (I guess that's good if you have one).
