This is a page from a sample seq. an artist on the topcow boards drew and inked. He goes by the name Jimmyb.
He has four pages and a cover done. I'm going to try and get them all done within two weeks. (Hey, I don't have alot of free time.)
I would really like some comments on this. Especially the interpanel relationship.
I took time into consideration here. I wanted to work quickly. It was done in less than 5 hours.

jimmyB (the penciler/inker) is not pro yet. He is still trying to figure out perspective. He likes to draw on his kitchen table. I've told him he should be in the proper work environment if he wants to pursue this professionaly. i.e. drafting table or big drawing board, T-square, angles, etc.
As far as the coloring.. I think you should reconsider the whole "painterly" look you are trying. I haven't seen it work anywhere. It doesn't blend well with the line work and it tends to fight the forms making it hard to depict all the nice detail the penciler and inker put into the picture. Just my opinion. |

I agree with Chapel; I like the pencils and inks, but the color job doesn't work. And it doesn't look professional to me. Sorry. |
