Ok,this is the first time I acutaly post my art here,becuse I just got a scanner,but I've been reading this forum for a loong time=)
Ok,first one is a sketch that took about 20-30 min,and I didnt use any wierd pencils or anything,just HB =x
Second one I did during class,and a part of my spare,which in total was around 40 min.

Looks like you are just starting out, so I won't crit too much. You may want to check some anatomy books and such, but here is a little start for you:

Hyperion-
Lot's of potentail here. I like the design of that sword for one thing.
I'm no expert but I'll see if I can think of a helpfull hint or two. If anyone else has a better idea or I'm wrong, please speak up me.
You might want to try working out a pose first using the ever handy stick figure with ball joints. That way you can work out your proportions. Polykarbon has some good tutorials on drawing the human form.
That second figure could be great if you took some time to develop it and gave him that sword from the first scan.

You might also want to try sizing those images down, its hard to see the whole image when u have to scroll down to do it |
