I promised myself I wouldn't post any artwork until I got really good...but..oh, what the heck :-)
Here's some concept art for a storyline that I have been working on for the past decade(you read that right) called the Millenium Wars Universe. The image below is of a space station called Looking Glass station, on a planet called, um, er, Looking Glass :-)

It's my first attempt at using Photoshop for art, so it's still kinda ugly.

BTW, the website is http://www.geocities.com/sheriftariq/index_new.html I've included an earlier version of the image on the website, next to the new version.

Cheers

A space station - really?
Well I think you should change one thing - it's not that good to have the horizon line and the station almost matching on the same level. IMO that's causing a boring composition. Try another view - that'll help

Well, not really a space station, as much as a planetary station, you know. Oh, :-P ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion regarding the horizon. I'll give that a try.

Just one question: does the station look kind of flat to you? The station is supposed to be shaped like a jelly fish, kind of hemispherical, with tendrils dropping from it.

Hmm because of the shapes that you are using in the image I think you might have to take it all from another perspective point maybe. The image looks really flat. The big reason is that a lot of your objects are along the horizen point and don't give the viewer a sense of dimension. In the future try to break your objects up so that they kinda flow along a perspective point some being in the forground and some in the background that would deffinatly give your pics much more depth.
