that's a really cool pic. maybe it's the style you were going for, but the major thing is what Awetopsy mentioned, it's too flat.
It looks like a painting from an ancient time, but if you were going for more of a lifelike picture, you have to add some more volume and contrast to it.
Keep up the work and splurge a bit and buy a tablet, helps alot.

for not having a tablet, that rules... but you could try to figure out a light source or two and shading the pick more... I think that would make it nice.. as it is it looks a little bit flat. (something I have to work on too)
